In many cases, your body is perfectly capable of resolving minor irritations around your piercings. But in some cases, the healing properties of one of these oils can provide a solution. In this blog article, we will give you some more information about our oils and how to use them best.
Jojoba
Let's start with the basics: Jojoba. Actually, Jojoba is a bit of a sneak... You use it as an oil, but Jojoba is actually a type of wax that is liquid at room temperature, making it look like an oil. If you put your bottle in a place that is a bit too cold (which is a lot easier to do in the winter, for example), you will suddenly find a huge lump of wax in your bottle. No problem, just put it in a warmer place or in a bowl of warm water and it will be fine again. And thank goodness, because Jojoba is a fantastic product to care for your skin, whether or not you have a pierced or tattooed skin. And your hair will also be very happy with a nourishing Jojoba treatment. In addition, Jojoba is an ideal, neutral base to mix with Tea Tree oil, for example.
How do you use Jojoba oil?
Use a small amount of Jojoba and massage it lightly into the affected skin. Don't overdo it, give your skin the chance to absorb the Jojoba completely. This also ensures that your piercings are not immediately completely greased. You can also apply Jojoba to a clean cloth and rub your piercing jewelry made of wood, horn and bone with it. Rub it with a clean cloth and you're done. Jojoba makes your jewelry shine beautifully and it stays beautiful for a lot longer!

Tea Tree
A classic among oils that has proven its worth several times! Not everyone is immediately taken by the scent of Tea Tree; it smells quite medicinal and somewhat spicy, but don't give up on it right away, because Tea Tree is one of the most versatile oils with a strong antibacterial and antifungal effect! Our Tea Tree oil is extracted from 100% organic and sustainably grown Tea Tree bushes (Melaleuca alternifolia) and is 100% pure. So no crazy additives or dilutions, just 100% pure Tea Tree oil. Tea Tree can provide a solution for minor irritations and scar tissue (especially in combination with Vitamin E oil, but we will come back to that later).
How do you use Tea Tree oil?
Tea Tree oil can be used both diluted and undiluted. When you use Tea Tree undiluted, you can dab it on the affected area with a piece of clean gauze compress. It relieves itching and especially helps with the well-known fluid bumps in, among other things, tragus piercings or helix piercings. Please note that Tea Tree oil can have a slightly drying effect, so use it sparingly and not for too long to prevent further irritation of the surrounding skin.
You can also dilute Tea Tree with a few drops of a neutral oil such as Vitamin E oil or Jojoba. This way you actually get the best of both worlds: a caring, vegetable oil combined with the purifying properties of Tea Tree. Perfect for mild irritations that are accompanied by dryness of the surrounding skin! Tea Tree oil can also be added to a warm salt solution. A drop is often enough to have a calming and anti-itch effect, when your piercings need it. And the last tip we have: clean your piercing jewelry every now and then with some Tea Tree! Piercing jewelry such as tunnels, plugs or pendants made of wood benefit from regular cleaning with Tea Tree oil. Put a few drops on a clean cloth and rub your piercing jewelry with it every now and then to keep it clean and fresh. Rub with some Jojoba oil for some extra shine, and you're done!

Vitamin E
It almost looks like liquid gold... Our Vitamin E oil is extracted from 100% natural wheat germ and has a deep, golden yellow color. Wheat germ is known for its high concentration of Vitamin E, which is why this oil can rightly be called Vitamin E oil. But the most important thing is of course its caring effect! Vitamin E oil has the wonderful property that it can soften scars over time and also has a super caring effect on dry, slightly irritated skin. Ideal for caring for your stretched earlobes, for example!
How do you use Vitamin E oil?
A small amount of oil on your fingertips is enough to provide your skin with a caring layer. Do you suffer from scar tissue? Then gently massage the oil in once a day. It promotes blood circulation and thus the recovery of your skin and has a soothing effect on scar tissue. In addition, our Vitamin E oil is perfect for the daily care of your skin.
