Surgical Steel (316L)

Surgical steel (316L) is an alloy of iron, chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. This alloy has been specifically tested for nickel release and complies with European standards for safe use in jewelry. Surgical steel is strong, durable, and has a bright silver color. Although the nickel content is low, some individuals with a nickel allergy may still experience mild irritation. Maintenance is simple: clean with a soft cloth and mild soap.

Titanium (6AL-4V-ELI / ASTM F136)

Titanium 6AL-4V-ELI (grade 23) is a premium titanium alloy made up of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. This alloy is completely nickel-free and highly biocompatible. Titanium is extremely lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for new piercings and people with sensitive skin. It has a matte silver appearance. Maintenance requires just rinsing with warm water and mild soap.

Titanium-Niobium

Titanium-niobium is a combination of pure titanium and a small amount of niobium. The result is a fully nickel-free, hypoallergenic material ideal for people with highly sensitive skin or allergies. Titanium-niobium has a light silver color and can be anodized to achieve colorful finishes. Minimal maintenance is needed: just rinse with mild soap.

Nickel-Free Steel (CoCr)

CoCr (cobalt-chromium alloy) is a nickel-free alternative to traditional surgical steel. This alloy offers very high strength, excellent wear resistance, and strong corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high biocompatibility, CoCr is very suitable for piercing jewelry. It has a bright silver finish with a beautiful shine. Cleaning is best done with lukewarm water and a soft cloth.

18 Karat Yellow Gold

18 karat yellow gold consists of 75% pure gold. The remaining 25% is made up of approximately:

This creates a warm, rich golden color. 18 karat yellow gold is strong and generally well tolerated. Gold jewelry can occasionally tarnish due to contact with skin moisture; this can easily be polished away with a soft cloth.

18 Karat White Gold
